Gambling can negatively affect anyone, young or old, rich or poor, having the capacity to be disastrous to the individual and those that love them. Escalating gambling, if left unchecked, can go from a fun, harmless activity, to an unhealthy obsession that can interfere with your relationships, work life, and financial security. It can lead individuals to do things they never thought they would, like stealing money or lying to loved ones.
We all need help sometimes, and there is no shame in protecting yourselves and your loved ones from the impact of unhealthy gambling. On the contrary, you should be proud of seeking help. No matter how small you think the issue is, or how far gone you believe you are, it’s never too late to begin to make healthy changes.
