Gambling harm
Playing here with SkyCity, and gambling in general should always be an entertaining experience, one that remains safe, without stress or worry. However, this is not always the case, and sometimes gamblers can get carried away with the time or money they spend. In some cases, these individuals may not notice that this is happening, which is why it's important to be aware of the signs of problem gambling so that you can notice if you, or someone you know, may be experiencing harm.
How does gambling harm start?
This video demonstrates the classic cycle of addiction, and how the euphoric rush of making a bet can quickly develop into a craving for more. This wave of excitement can taper off over time as an individual builds a tolerance, causing increasingly risky gambling in order to reach the same levels of euphoria. This, in turn, can make life more of a struggle, and give the gambler an increased need to take a break.
